The Peacock Gudgeon Tateurndina ocellicauda status within the EPBC Act
The Peacock Gudgeon (Tateurndina ocellicauda) has been gazetted as an allowable import into Australia as of 15 September 2004. The Commonwealth Minister for the Environment, Ian Campbell, has accepted the Peacock Gudgeon report on the possible impacts of the species within Australia. The Gazette notice appears in "Commonwealth of Australia Gazette" No. GN37, 15 September 2004 on page 3076.
The report was compiled and submitted with lots of help from people all over the world. I would like to thank all the people who helped with this project. A special thanks to Helen Larson and Peter Unmack for assistance with the Science and helping to write some technical parts of the report.

It also means that the Aquarium Industry will be able to import fresh stock from a reliable overseas breeder after they have complied with all the laws relating to importing live fish.
